The immediate aftermath of Jet Airway's grounding saw lessors from around the world quickly move into taking back their aircraft's. However, a small number of aircraft's are still owned by a Jet Airways or were on a financial lease (wherein the airline gets to take ownership of the plane once payments are made).
In July, Jet Airways has finally managed to raise enough funding to take possession of financial leased aircraft's. The airline recently sold off a number of its asset's,such as its office in Mumbai, to raise funds. Jet has used these funds to re-acquire the six aircraft, according to The Hindu Newspaper.
